We are looking for regional cities from around Australia and the world that want to broaden their profile, as well as support and attract young emerging filmmakers to showcase their community.

"With over 200 filmmaking festivals annually we now have a filmmaking event that is fast taking the regional crown not only in participation but also in marketing prowess. In Newcastle three locals have started a very different regional filmmaking festival that has captured attention Australia wide and overseas. The Shoot Out Newcastle kicked off in 1999 and is attracting over 1500 filmmakers each year to make a film in 24 hours! July 2008 will mark the tenth year of the event in NSW, Australia."
