The Shoot Out 24 Hour Filmmaking Festival has been held in 5 regional cities across 3 countries.

In Australia, the aim is to have one event per state.

And now The Shoot Out is interested in attracting bold and daring regional cities in W.A, S.A., Tasmania, Northern Terrritory and ACT.

We want cities that want to broaden their profile by growing support for cultural industries, attracting young and emerging filmmakers

and other visitors to a regional community where skills can be shared and films showcased in one massive weekend!

The Shoot Out is very interested in attracting regional cities internationally.

The Shoot Out dares you to put your city on the map with a network of like-minded cities.

The number of cities per country will be determined by population and geography.  Be the first regional city in your country to

engage in this challenging cultural and community experience.

The Shoot Out 24 Hour Filmmaking Festival is a licensed event that is based on the Franchise model.

There are currently 5 events networked across   the following regional cities:

Newcastle NSW, Australia

Toowoomba, QLD, Australia
Geelong, VIC, Australia
Hamilton, New Zealand
Boulder, Colorado, USA

"With over 150 filmmaking teams annually we now have a filmmaking event that is fast taking the regional crown not only

in participation but also in marketing prowess. In Newcastle three locals have started a very different regional filmmaking festival

that has captured the attention of Australia and overseas. The Shoot Out Newcastle kicked off in 1999 and is attracting over 1200 filmmakers each year to make a film in 24 hours!

July 2008 will mark the tenth year of the event in NSW, Australia."

The Shoot Out - for regional cities with guts!
